Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest African Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. CCBA is a market leader in the NARTD (non-alcoholic ready to drink market) in Africa. CCBA has an extensive footprint in Africa, employing approximately 16 000 employees in Africa. We have an exciting job opportunity for a Center region Regional Logistics Manager, to lead the implementation of the business plan and have oversight of the execution through synchronised and effective Manufacturing, Warehousing, Fleet, customer collaboration and Distribution plans. To implement the logistics transformational projects to deliver the strategic priorities of long term growth, leveraging scale and building fundamental capabilities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Implement an effective Logistics Strategy and Business plan based on diagnosis, analysis, insight and expertise in Distribution, Warehouse, Fleet and Cold Drink Equipment principles;
Provide direction, leadership and development to ensure the execution of plans to optimise the operation and provide required customer service levels;
Provide direction and leadership to teams through driving diversity, empowerment and accountability;
Ensure standardisation of productivity measures.
2. Oversee the execution of Warehouse, Secondary and Primary Distribution, Fleet, CDE and customer collaboration in the plant to ensure productivity.
Support the fleet strategy;
Ensure standardisation of operating practices;
Monitor the execution of Distribution/Warehouse/Fleet plans.
3. Provide leadership to accomplish company goals and objectives.
Direct accountability for centralised logistics services e.g. routing and scheduling, inventory management and Warehouse layouts for productivity;
Develop plans to optimise the operations by aligning resources to activity levels whilst meeting Customer service needs to improve the overall logistics performance;
Analyse customer service and operational efficiency and design plans to close gaps in conjunction with the logistics excellence function at the centre.
4. Manage stakeholder relationship
Source and manage supplier and outsourced relationships effectively in partnership with Procurement;
Support Sales management in identifying operational improvement opportunities.
5. Manage the overall logistics budget and allocation of funds according to plan.
Drive cost efficiencies and transformation through key strategic projects implementation.

Minimum requirement:: B Comm. or related B Degree (Business Management, Logistics or Transport);
Qualificação e Habilidades da oferta
Added advantage: o Professional Affiliation (Apics) o Professional Qualifications and Learning (CPIM, CSCP etc) Experience;
Minimum 10 years’ logistics experience;
Minimum of 8 years’ line management experience;
Experience in logistics and business software systems;
Additional experience and/or exposure in sales or manufacturing;
Financial and business modelling experience;
Understanding of key business cost drivers;
Knowledge of logistics operations in FMCG organisations;
Project management skills and experience Competencies;
Warehouse management and processes;
Warehouse performance measures;
Distribution management and processes;
Distribution performance measures;
Fleet management and processes;
Fleet performance measures;
Planning and organising;
Sound financial acumen.
